Out of Office is an event initiated by Young KLM in order to get a group of about 300 young professionals from the biggest corporations in the netherlands to get out of their offices for one day and spend that day together working on community projects. Instead of having endless meetings about Corporate Social Responsibility, we asked them to actually be corporate, social and responsible.
Around 7500 thousand people recieved simultaniously either a direct mail or a direct email that would invite them to outofoffice2008.nl and get them to subscribe to the event. The dm consisted of a blank enveloppe holding one of their own businesscards. But we changed the job descriptions on the cards to one that would fit our Out of Office event, like 'field-expert-goat-poo-shoveling' or 'hearing-aid-battery-concistency-checking-officer'. On the back of the cards was only the url to the OoO-website. The direct email was a variation of the dm in which we sent people a do it yourself kit in creating a security batch to get out of office. Again, the batch was personalised for each company and supported job descriptions like the above.
This campaign for dutch newspaper nrc•next is aimed purely at students. It'll appear throughout the year in typical student-media in all big university-cities in the Netherlands. The concept & sketches for this campaign won the 24h Young Creatives Competition!
The pictures depict the sheet-music for a dirty (rugby)song, a drinking-party and a fieldhockeyshirt with some raunchy semi-funny line on it. The copy reads "Sometimes it's hard for students to get some in-depth information", and then "sometimes it's not... nrc•next. "
Tim and I were asked by Sony Ericsson and Mobile Concert Report to do a little report of the Lenny Kravitz concert in the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam. They got us two Sony Ericsson telephones to use as cameras and even arranged a meet & greet for us, but unfortunately we weren't allowed to film it. Tried anyway off course..
I edited, animated, designed and in a way directed this film in a breathtaking 2 weeks. It runs in al major cinemas in holland this month (except before childrenprograms, since we can't ask them to buy beer...).
Because of the tremendous haste the client was in, I was able to parachute my brother Ruben into the project to compose the music in a few days.
The big Swingtop-tent (beugeldop) you see in the film was also conceptualised here at ddb, between myself, Joris Blomjous and Martin Cornelissen. It travels from festival to festival during the summer with live music and entertainment (and off course Grolsch beer...)
This is an edit of the footage the boys from mtv and local theory shot of us whilst in Cannes. Elements of this clip and those of the other 26 teams will be featured on air on mtv in 160 countries at the end of the year. I'm not sure if we'll be cut in a lot, since we didn't win, and we're not hot chicks, but it's cool all the same.
This is an ad I created for my former jazz/swing/party/turning-little-french-villages-upside-down band Tzigane Swing. It ran in student yearbooks and alumni-magazines.
This is an identity trailer for my brothers comapny Soundkraft, shot with a hd-camera and some ink on a white sheet. A lot of aftereffects did the rest.
This was projected on a 10x6 meter backdrop during the annual NCRV christmas concert. The artwork was (obviously) inspired by Mark Rothko's colourfield paintings. The music on this video is Treefingers by Radiohead.
